Buildings use the most energy of any single sector in the United States. Yet, most existing buildings waste much of the energy they use. Combining energy efficiency with renewable energy will help drive a more secure, resilient, and healthy future.

Transportation

The transportation sector is addicted to oil and the internal combustion engine uses only 12-30% of the available energy in gasoline to move the vehicle. Electric vehicles are able to convert 72-94% of their energy into motion. That big jump in efficiency, combined with low carbon, renewable electricity can fuel transportation in the future.
